What we keep

Nova only stores what is needed to give you a working assistant. That means your chats, images you generate, files you choose to attach, and a few small preferences such as your theme and whether web search is on or off.

If you sign in, we associate that content with your account so it follows you across devices. If you use Nova without signing in, your session stays local and nothing is saved to a server.

What we don't do

We don't show ads. We don't build advertising profiles. We don't sell, rent, or trade your conversations to anyone. We don't scan your chats for marketing keywords, and we don't train third-party models on what you write here.

We don't collect your contacts, your location, your browsing history on other sites, or anything else outside what you deliberately share with Nova.

When you use web search

When you turn on Web, Nova sends a short search query based on your message to a public search service and uses the results to give you a more accurate, up-to-date answer. Only the text needed to find good sources is sent — never your full conversation, identity, or account details.

Search is off by default, and you can switch it off at any time by tapping the globe button in the composer.

Your controls

Everything you need is a click away. You can rename a chat, delete a single conversation, clear your entire library of generated images, or wipe your whole account from the settings menu. Deleting is permanent and immediate — there is no hidden copy kept behind the scenes.

Signed-in users can also sign out at any time. Signing out removes your session from the device and leaves your chats safely in your account until you return.

How long we keep things

Chats and generated images stay until you delete them. There is no automatic expiration and no archival tier. When you press delete — whether on a single message or your whole account — the content is removed from our system right away.

What Nova is

It works the same on desktop and mobile, keeps your chats in sync when you sign in, and stays completely local when you don't.

Design philosophy

Every pixel earns its place. Type is calm. Space is generous. Motion is subtle. Nothing shouts for attention — because the work you bring to Nova deserves to be the loudest thing on the screen.

The interface follows the same rule as the assistant itself: be useful, then be quiet.
